Has anyone seen anything like this before?

It's on a 2018 T100. Bike is due it's 500 mile service so is not being used till the 8th June when the service is booked. They'll be looking at it then but I'm curious.

:confused:Strange that.... might not even be from your bike?
If it was oil from your bike coming out whilst you’re riding I would have thought it would be streaked
That looks like its been splashed by something when it was parked?

Have you sprayed lube on your chain recently? It's easy to put too much on but quite how it splattered there I'm not sure...

Interesting you should say that, I surmised this and it was one of the reasons I decided to clean and lube (with wax) the chain. See my other thread about getting the RHS silencer off for chain adjustmentbut that's another story!

I'd agree with that, I can't imagine where else it's come from. Bike is kept in a garage. Maybe it's flung up from somewhere and allowed to drip back down?? It's happened before but I put it down to chain lube then.

I had this on my thruxton, if you have a front sprocket cover, take it off and have a look around there, the chain oil flicks off and gathers under the front sprocket and then drips out onto the exhausts etc, you’d be amazed at how much crud gets up there, I clean mine out regularly as it just turns into grinding paste, if you can’t get the cover off use a stick to try scraping it out.

Have to agree with crispey on this. An incredible amount of crap gets collected here and I now clean mine out regularly. It's worse if you use oil to live the chain but not too bad with wax. Had small stones in mine once!

I’ve heard people say they’ve “splashed out on a new bike but never seen the actual result”
    Not helpful, I know. :D

That oil looks fresh I had a similar issue and it was coming out of the corner of the cam cover and blowing back onto the sidepanel and dripping onto the exhaust pipe.

Well, I took the side panels off and the sprocket cover to find nothing out of place. Brake fluid level OK, sprocket cover interior dry. It has me wondering if came from somewhere other than the bike. I've really no idea at all though. Thanks all for the continued input, it's appreciated.
