Whilst cleaning my 2015 bonnie this morning I noticed a small amount of oil. Wiped it off and went for a ride, now a lot more oil there. Looks to be coming from where the nut and engine casing meet, it's the one with the braided hose. The nut seems to be tight, what does this hose do?

Can you post a couple of pictures.
Might just be a copper washer that needs replacing.

Its a oil feed pipe, could be leaking from the banjo or it could be running down from another place, if bike is under warranty then take it back. If you have to do it yourself then first clean it all off and run engine until you can see the leak, if it is the banjo then remove bolt and clean and refit.

Everywhere seems dry and clean, even around the copper washer. Does appear to be the small well where (banjo?) goes into casing. Warranty more than 6 months to run but with all the mods that may not be keen, although it's only the o2, Sao and exhaust and remap, which I guess would have no bearing on this problem?

As you have warranty and only minor mods i would pop into your local dealer and ask them to have a look

Looks like the copper washer under the banjo, easy repair, but if under warranty would best get the dealer to check.

New oil feed pipe and washers needed under warranty, approval from triumph and parts take a week apparently. Really in this day an age!!

Now if we had that Triumph Warranty page/thread, this would be an excellent example of the warranty working for the customer.

Well so far so good, I was told it was a week over the phone by a young lady who was pleasant and had a sense of humour, I asked her to give the bonnie a hug before she put her to bed!
As I was local I nipped in to see if there was any courtesy bikes going, the stern faced service manager said yes at £18 a day! I said if it's a thruxton R I will take it. No response, it's over there somewhere waving vaguely in the service area, I said is it that thruxton next to the bonnie. No he said, it does not matter how many times you say it it won't be a thruston R. Not even a glimmmer of a smile!
I was obviously annoying him as he said he will try to get my back to me by Friday. He was a sour puss when I dropped it off at 8am this morning and he did not lighten up by lunchtime, obviously he was having a bad day, maybe he caught his wife in bed with his neighbour but ffs you work in customer service try and be a little affable!!!
As long as the bikes sorted it's fine, just may be crack a smile even if the joke is crap!

He will be even more grumpy when he has no job because people go elsewhere and he loses his, not exactly a hard or stressful job in the first place.

Bike all back and fixed on warranty, took in on Tuesday morning & ready Thurs evening, pretty good service. They did call yesterday to say did I have a spare key as they lost it! It turned up so no great shakes, even had smiles & free coffee from the service team, no sign of Mr Grumpy, maybe they put him back in his box.

I am having a problem with a oil leak from sump bolt the bolt would not tighten to torque setting and found when removing bolt that thread had begun stripping from casing so I decide to remove the casing to helicoil it, after removing casing I found a crack running up thread so welding needed also to the alloy sump.

I needed to buy a new gasket for sump along with new sump bolt with washer from my local Triumph dealer and was surprised to find the bolt supplied by dealer was longer in length but same thread pitch so the bolt that I removed was a foreigner that may have caused failure of sump it was the type that has a magnet attached to it that must of been fitted by a previous owner.

I am posting this to help others from having my concern, when changing oil if you are unsure that this bolt is OE change it, it costs pennies.

    Happy days:)
