Friday afternoon out on the Thruxton 'R' about a mile from home, turn into a roundabout, bike instantly wants to go straight on, negotiated roundabout like a complete novice, rear tyre puncture. Parked up & walked home to pick up my portable compressor & the missus. Inflate tyre to 60 psi (helmet on ready for off) & off we go for about 500 yards, repeat, this time managed to get home. Will remove wheel, tyre & tube Monday & decide on the best plan of action (tubed tyres!)
New tube I guess, but if the hole in the tyre is substantial, then a small plug may help STOP 'N GO POCKET TYRE PLUGGER KIT https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003VE0ZL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TU6sBb1PRDNQW £37 on Amazon but sure they an be found cheaper Edited for clarification @ 22:10
Yeay! All done, patch in tyre carcase (no damage other than screw hole) new quality inner tube, so no harm done really. Borrowed local tyre fitters machinery as he didn't want the liability of damaging the rim. £15 for tube, £10 drink for the local tyre guys. Could have been worse
