I survived the mid summer gathering . Loads of food and drink and chat . Great crac . i was intruduced to the local drink that stands the hairs up on the back of your neck . After the forth glass raise of Skol! It didnt taste as bad.or it had taken the shock of it away . pickeled Herring. Meatballs and ELK roast was lovely followed by strawberry's and ice cream ....late drinking session followed . Good night was had by all.
Another day of food and drink.oh and stripping the carbs out of a 750 Honda shadow belonging to Ellies mum. Shes not rode it for 3. Years so the carbs were a bit crappy. i got her going but she pissed petrol from the overflow.( sticky needles) so shes stripped ready for cleaning as i had no carb cleaner. Went for a walk through one of the many forests around the house and found more old trucks just dumped where they stopped
Glad you’re having a great time both of you. The countryside looks amazing as I shall soon find out for myself. Was that a 2 stroke Saab in that last photo. They are quite rare now and worth doing up.
Still working on the shadow today. Rebuilt the carbs and fitted them back on the bike . Cleaned the tank out just needs a new battery and we should be in buisness. If i have done a good job on the carbs Holiday heaven working on bikes
More mooching about . Theres nothing but forests and lakes .....is it worth coming ....feck yeah !! Had a sandwich cake. A custom on birthdays apparently. Very nice. Also visited a church and wasnt struck down Was shown pics of The area in snow its another world . ice hole fishing on the lakes and snowmobiles .Its a mad place .
