So, after much faffing the route is finalized and the hotels are booked. It’s going to be a 3 week, 7000km solo round trip from my house in the Netherlands up to the Nordkapp via Sweden, Denmark and Germany. I’m only staying in hotels because camping and my back don’t mix. These are just some of the highlights in no particular order. Oslo Briksdal Glacier Atlantic Road Hardanger Fjord Geiranger Fjord Trollstigen Lofoten Islands Arctic Circle center Nordkapp Jonkoping Malmo Copenhagen I’m doing the trip to raise money for Cancer Research and in memory of my partner who wanted to do this trip and see the beautiful Scandinavian scenery. I’ll put the link to the JustGiving page later after Christmas in case anyone would like to donate. I’ll update this thread as and when. Oh and the bike I’m taking will be the VStrom 650.

Thanks guys. A lot can happen before August but as far as I’m concerned the trip is on. Maybe extra crash bobbins might be a good idea in light of my minor slip up in Germany.

Wow Nikki, that's a trip and a half. I look forward to reading/seeing all about it. Many years ago I used to visit Oslo regularly on business - Oslo sights to see: Holmenkollen (Olympic ski jump) Maritime museum (inc. full size Blue Whale) plus LOTS of other great stuff.

Thanks guys. So next year the Strom is going to have loads of Kms on the clock, what with the first Scottish trip then the GMU and extension and then Norway.
