We are off to North Wales Anglesey circuit for the next round of the championship next weekend. For Formula Prostocks we have reached the BSB style shoot-out where the top 6 in the table after the last round at Pembrey go into a 10 race shootout, this keeps the championship very much alive for these guys, for the rest of the field it is a battle for the lower places in the championship. My mate Harley Prebble pictured below on the #2 bike is leading the championship from last years champ James McHardy, then in 3rd place we have Carl Smalley, my team mate Dave Hatswell #95 who only started racing last year is currently a very creditable 4th. For me it will be my first round as a clubman racer after getting the final signature to lose the novice vest in race 3 at the last round, it is another new circuit for me to learn & really looking forward to it. If there are any Forum members going to this round, come and say hello in the pits #93, if you pm me the day you are going I will see if I can sort tickets for you.
Billy. Think my Boy might be there. Think I heard him say a team had ask him to help out with the endurance event. I tell him to look out for you. Be Safe & Enjoy. Joe.
Ah! Was in South Wales last time ... really must have a word with the powers that be to organise these things better!
Hopefully I’ll be there on the Saturday only as flying off to Singapore and then onto Bali on the Sunday Ty Croes race circuit is the Philip Island of the UK, fingers crossed it’ll be good weather for you Billy
Cheers Tiglet, the lads that have been there before all say it is a great circuit if the weather is good, so fingers crossed for sunshine! Will sort you out a ticket just ping a text when you are there (pm me if you don't have my mobile saved from last time).
You're gonna look like a true pro now Bill with the vest gone, all the very best for next weekend mate, thumbs up for Dave too.....are you going to the BSB at Thruxton this weekend?
Bad Billy. Should see him tomorrow so will find out for sure. He loves the track at Anglesey. I do wish you all the best and hope you win. But you are still like the Boy a nutter. Ride Safe 7& Win Joe.
Thanks Dave might even break out the new leathers! Won’t be going to BSB this weekend mate, got a lot of stuff to do & just don’t have the time! If you’re going have fun!
Thanks Sandi, Well I enjoyed the last round in South Wales so hopefully North Wales will be just as good. Taking pressure off myself & enjoying my racing worked as well as re reading Twist of the wrist 2.
And maybe North Wales will be even better! I totally understand how taking pressure off yourself helps. It seems like when you have that "flow" going and you're just riding without thinking too hard and having fun, it all just goes better. Smoother, faster, simpler, easier. It just "clicks". And it seems that that's not just true for riding and racing but many other aspects of life as well! That all said, Twist of the Wrist 2 is a really good read. With a LOT of details to think about!
I have been working mostly on throttle control, it really makes a huge difference to cornering speed. On the Bandit because of the lack of power, you can get on the gas really early, it’s just making yourself do it!
