Hi all just joined the forum, a biker most of my adult life, something the wife keeps telling me I've yet to prove Have had triumph bikes before but recently acquired an America efi after realising that the legs and back weren't up to the Tiger any more (being a short a**e). Loving the more relaxed ride and enjoying it more than thrashing down the lanes, more to the point getting off the bike with a little decorum and not bent over dragging my knuckles like neanderthal man with a destroyed back not that the Tiger was bad, just an accumulation of increasing years and sports bikes. Looking forward to doing a few minor mods in the next few months, namely going to a solo seat as the Mrs has shown no inclination to pilion (suits me fine) we'll see how far that goes and where I decide to stop ( no firm plans yet) got the fly screen ready to go on, the tors are on just need to find a rear rack for when I take the pilion seat off and the sissy bar/ rack. May decide to go for a shortened rear mudguard and side mount number plate and possibly drag bars? who knows where the journey will take me, just need to pick a direction and go, much like weekend rides! You can always turn around and go back. Anyhoo that's where I'm starting from, looking forward to the posts and interesting discussions. Cheers Andrew
Has anyone else had any issues with the cr***y gear linkage ballpoints? That was the first job what possessed them to pein over mild steel pins into cast lever arms? Drilled out the heads and put M6 L& R threaded ballpoint both ends off fleabag much crisper gear change no sloppiness result for less than a tenner
