Thought I'd better introduce myself. I live in Horsforth, Leeds and recently bought an America. It is my first cruiser and I am getting used to it. I've been riding for 40 years or so and have had many bikes during that time. I part exed a Tiger 800xc for the America and sold my Busa a few weeks ago leaving me with my DRZ 400. Just wanted to say hello. Cheers.

I did like both bikes but wanted to try a more "relaxed" approach to my riding. On both the Busa and the tiger I felt obliged to use them in a way that was not conducive to retaining my licence! Apart from that I am not getting any younger and needed a lower seat height and centre of gravity in comparison to the Tiger's. My missus said she wouldn't mind going out on a cruiser which also influenced my decision. She has been out with me a grand total of twice! I do like the riding position on the America though I will have to adjust the rear shocks as I do tend to bottom it out (mainly two up) on some bends and it feels a bit vague one up most of the time. I guess I just have to alter my riding style! :)
