Hey all...Well just joined this forum as I recently purchased a 2016 Explorer XRX. Only managed a couple of runs out on it but really enjoying the bike, unfortunately the last run I encountered a fencing 'U' staple nail in the back tyre....45 miles from home in the Scottish Highlands on a single track road. Thankfully my mate had a tin of white stuff which managed to get me moving and home very slowly!! I've lowered my XRX as I'm a short arse 5ft 7" with LUST racing dog bones, the lower seat and the front forks by 15mm as well so now I get both feet pretty sound down on the Big One. Issue with the side stand now so need help to sort that out...bike seems perilously vertical sometimes!! Hope to chat with you all soon...
Hi and welcome to our asylum. The guys (inmates) will need pics of your beastie coz they like to crayon over the colours. If it is black you will please a few of the residents
Hi welcome, very nice bike, the side stand problem seems pretty standard on all lowered tigers. Don’t park it facing down any slope and leave it in gear!
It's the same if you lift a gsx1400 - the side stand holds bike upright. But with the 1400 it makes it real easy to center stand
Welcome aboard Grant. Those side stands are dodgy at the best of times, so be careful not to park on a slope, and keep it in gear when on the stand cos they easily roll off.
