Hi all I'm 58 years old and have ridden since I was sixteen. I think that I have been through about 50 bikes, both road & off-road. I only discovered the joys of smaller bikes, particularly the Street Triple, when my wife decided that she wanted to ride her own bike, about two years ago. Therefore I no longer needed a big powerful machine to carry us both across Europe. I bought a Street Triple 675 and haven't looked back. It was a complete revelation. I couldn't believe that my big bike 'conditioning' had hidden these joyful machines from my view. I have put around 12,000 miles on the Street over that last two years, most of it on the lovely roads of France & Spain.
Welcome to the madhouse you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we will need photos. Tucker
Welcome aboard Steve. Yes those light weight Street Triples are an absolute joy. I know folk who do two and three thousand miles tours on theirs. Enjoy the ride mate.
Couldn't agree more Steve, the Street is a fantastic bike & very rewarding to ride, had a hoot on mine, anyhow now that your 58 shouldn't you consider taking up clubman racing? Welcome to the forum by the way!
That’s how you do it, nice little introduction and pics, none of that barging in with a question about exhausts. Well done Steve, nice bike, nice pics, enjoy the forum and welcome.
Here we go again .... So Sorry Steve, you didn't even make it to the bottom of page 1 before our resident eejit derailed your thread with talk of Lady-boys etc, I will get the forum enforcer @MrOrange to send him back to the segregation area, TBH he's only just been let out! Now Ron, you hapless feckwit, get back to your special place and stop bothering the grownups!
Well, that's another one you pair of eejit has managed to scare away. @Steve Montreal , just ignore the children. Hello and welcome. Nice intro, the inmates do like pictures.
Whatever .... you clearly bribed MrO, what was it beer or sexual favours? No forget that I don't wanna know Don't care going home for a nice toasted crumpet now, so go to a room with a mirror and argue away ti' your hearts content Again apologies to Steve for the thread derail, it will probably get worse to be fair!
I did start doing trackdays .......at 56. Does that count?
Steve Montreal Welcome to the Family. Nice pictures. You will fit right in here with the inmates. Ride Safe Joe.
Welcome to the triple world mate, I've done about 25k on two triples touring Europe in some horrendous weather and they never missed a beat.
I did start doing trackdays .......at 56. Does that count?
Can't beat it mate, thrashing round a track, no speed cops, no traffic coming the other way, it's what gets the adrenaline pumping!
