Hello to all and greetings and happy new year from Nicaragua in Central America! Just got my new 2015 Scram Tuesday this past week. Thanks for having me and hope to contribute and learn in whatever is possible! Ben.
Just to put you Gents up to date from my side...I am coming from a Benelli Leoncino 500 Street Scrambler not the trail version, bought new 2019 in Feb and put 10k kilometers on it, just came from a nice 1K roadtrip to neighboring Costa Rica to pick up my son from university and had a blast, little Leoncino is a very modern interpretation of a road bike looking like a scrambler. I needed to change because my wife was not comfy as a pillion. I am overweight as well and seat is too short. But the handling and factory spec on this bike is absolutly awesome. I wanted an ABS model Triumph Scram to substitute the Benelli and the only one available was a 2017 model with 1200 kms on it siezed by a bank and with some issues, very repairable issues according to my friend and Triumph distributor but still bank wanted 10K USD for it!! Nuts!! And too risky. Next available option was this 2015 Scram with 6.5K km on loaded with goodies including Arrow exhaust but less suspension nevertheless pristine never seen any dirt trail fitted with anakee 3 tires plus brand new original tires came separate. Prior to these 2 bikes it had been more than 20 years since I had stoped riding motorcycles!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!! About one month ago I did the PCH 101 and 1 from San Diego to Eureka and back with my son in a car. We were at the Bigfoot store in the redwoods when I saw a Triumph Scrambler with the stock pea shooter exhaust and side luggage!! That there moment I fell for the Scrams looks and to see people doing ADV riding was awesome!!!!
You know i have tried to upload but resolution is too high...let me try again!! Thanks for your interest!! Ben
