Hey, Y'all! 52 yrs riding & too many bikes but no Triumphs now finds me in the possesion of 2 acquired 5 days apart. I'm Dale & live on the western end of USA's Lonliest Hwy in Nevada @ 4000ft in the high desert. Although low tech I look forward to gleaning info about Triumph Bonnevilles here. I'm enjoying Stuart Fillingham. It's been fun riding the Triumphs these past 3 weeks & experiencing the much heralded Triumphs ease of lightweight responsive handling I've read & heard about since the 60's when I started riding. Reading articles about doing a top end somewhere between an east & west coast tour kept me off British bikes though. Recently I traded my Moto Guzxi MGX -21 (bought 18 months prior in a weakened moment of lust) for a cranberr/silver t120. The classic look & feel of a "motorcycle" with modern tech feels really good sgain. THEN 5 days later a friend with several bikes & had a Ural in the past saw my '05 Troyka & asked if I'd trade it even for her "13 purple/white t100 with 351 miles on it (BUT exercised regulatly). What was I to do? I did it. Since, I've ridden both over 200 miles each & am truly happy. The t100 will be set up for day rides & the t120 for the extensive distances out west here. Whew! I hope I didn't bore everyone with this lengthy intro but thanks for ssking for it. You can probably tell that I'm excited.
Great intro welcome to the madhouse you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we need photos. Tucker
Thanks all. Looking forward to this! Looks like I could have posted this in a better place here. Like I said, I'm low tech. I'll try to sort out pic posting!
