Hello. Struggling with intros... : ) I've been riding for a while. Started out on a Jawa older than I, then on to a nice Honda CB and a Shadow. Most recent bike before this one, a Yamaha Diversion 900, and now since a few weeks a Triump Tiger 1200XRX. I've stayed all over the place, Mainland Europe, Scandinavia, Middle East, USA, and since two decades or so, Scotland. Some lovely twisties and stunning rides here, but the modal would be a shortish commute. Year-round rider.
Welcome aboard Cabe, just a tip mate, pop up a pic of your steed or the gang will all be along shortly and you'll get lots of requests
The ride, as promised. In fairly standard, mizzly weather. (And in need of having the salt rinsed off...)
Thanks. So far so good. : ) The ground is a bit further away than I'm used to and the all-encompassing electrickery makes me nervous (last bike was carburettor, no traction control nor ABS, fine to McGyver back together with duct-tape and furry string, type bike) . : )
I live about 1.5 hours away from Sacramento in San Rafael (Near San Francisco) . Have friends in Sacto. I hope to visit Scotland some day. (My wife's family is from Ireland)
That sounds like an excellent reason to visit the UK. : ) ETA Sorry, that sounds dreadful reading it back. You should definitely come visit the Scotland and if the wife is with you, Ireland is easy enough to get to. Maybe visit Isle of Man on the way?
