    Hey all,

I'm looking to purchase a new Triumph Bonneville Bobber and customize to a more classic and "bobbed" look.

I'm not a motorcycle mechanic, and have never dabbled in customization. Looking for pointers and recommendations from the veterans.

Specifically, I'd like to put some springer forks on a new Bonneville Bobber, but most after market front ends claim compatibility with HD or older Triumph models. What specs do I need to look for and where to get the right front end the first time? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks!

    Tim

    Welcome to the forum Tim.
Personally I would hold fire changing anything like that until you have ridden the bike for a while.
I am sure Triumph have got an optimised machine in the standard Bobber, you may find you are making a retrograde step.

    Welcome to the forum.

As a new bike it will be a while before people start making specialised parts for the bobber. Until then you'll have to rely on finding parts for other bikes that fit or modifying parts designed for other bikes.

Hi Tim, and welcome. I'd change the back end for a short fender and integrated tail lights. So makes the bike look more balanced. And the V&H slip ons sound fabulous.
