Hi all, I’m from Fife in Scotland and I just bought a 2010 Bonneville SE a couple of days ago. Only done about 100 miles on it but enjoying it so far.

Greetings from New Jersey, USA! There's some beautiful country in Scotland, my favorite area being the West Coast. Some pretty interesting roads, too (do you have to use a pull out on the one-lane roads when you are on a motorcycle?). Are you still riding at this time of year?

Yes I am still riding, I like to keep on top of the cleaning after a run though. Yes, someone still has to pull over in a passing place on the single track roads there’s not quite enough room for a car and a bike. Is it the roads up north on the west coast you were on?

Hi Dod, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on buying a Bonnie 865, they're great bikes. I recently bought a 2012 T100, essentially the same as your bike but with spoked instead of cast wheels. Currently tucked up in my garage along with four other Triumphs, but I'm looking forward to a few nice days later this month for a ride out. Have you heard of TOMCC, the Triumph Owners Club? There is a local branch, Scotland South, which meets every month in Penicuik. I live in Peebles by the way, a little further south. There are several Bonnie 865 owners in the branch, and it's useful to chat with them, especially if, like me, you've only just got into Bonnie ownership. If you want further details of TOMCC, let me know, I'm the branch Treasurer.

I could take a run over sometime, I’m just outside Dunfermline. Where about in Penicuik is the meet?

Hi Dod, we meet the last Sunday of every month so the next meeting is the 28th. We meet at the Navaar House Hotel in Penicuik, meeting starts at 12.30-ish but we tend to get there a bit earlier so we can have a bite to eat for lunch. The roast beef is very good! Hope to see you there.
