Been a motocrosser racer in my teens in Southern California. Got my first street bike while in college, a new Yamaha Daytona Special. And the rest is history. A multitude of Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, and Ducati, etc. sportbikes and nakeds over the many years. Now I've finally "grown up" and have a classy TTR. So beautiful to look at. All out speed in full leathers just doesn't mean so much anymore, especially when you're 60 plus years old.
Greetings from the other coast. Cool bike. I have eight years on you. You are correct... Unless you are talking about a woman.
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the beautiful, new bike! Handsome husband is from Costa Mesa, CA and started riding dirt bikes in the desert when he was a little boy...and the rest is history. As far as racing in full leathers, a couple of years ago we ran into a young man who'd gotten back from his honeymoon in Thailand that morning and was out racing the twisties in north GA in full leathers by himself while his wife was home sleeping. He'd had to leave his house near Atlanta pretty early to drive to where the twisties are...a young man's obsession? It's all fun. Ride safe.
