Hello all, I've recently returned to biking after taking time out to care for my (now late) wife. I promised her I wouldn't ride while she still needed me just in case! Well now I'm back in the saddle of a proper bike now Street Triple 675 R I've also got a XP500 T-Max Scooter (runs for cover) I'm looking forward to starting to get to know the Triumph now the weather is improving .
Hi n welcome Sorry for your loss of your loved one but i do hope that your new bike will put a smile on your face.
Hi V, welcome to the forum ! My sincere condolences for your loss. I hope that you enjoy the new bike and the forum, plenty good lads on here with lots of info and top tips ! Now post us a picture so that we can drool !
Welcome in Viking, sorry for your loss mate, must have been a difficult time. Good choice of bike the STR not the T-Max!
Welcome to the forum. With more than one bike and a dog in the garage, you're going to fit right in with the other members. What are the other bikes?
Condolences for your loss mate. Been there, done that and it is not easy. Gets better over time and a bike or two deffo helps. Is the RS a 2 stroker? And does it run? I had a lot of fun on my son's one with the full 33bhp. Like riding a precision instrument. And if you gotta have scooter - well a TMax can hold its own with a lot of bigger bikes!
The rs belongs to my son its got a gearbox problem and he's lost interest. The T-Max is a great city tool to get to work on & deceptively quick away from the lights.
Welcome buddy Please kindly accept our sincere condolences. Thanks for the pics....lovely bike And ofcourse goes without saying......lovely Staf - Bull Terrier
Hi and thanks, I'm really hoping to get some nice rides on the Triumph now that the better weather has finally arrived! It's been a couple of years since I rode a proper bike so if you see a 675 wobbling around in Derbyshire say hi because it'll be me.
Ladybower reservoir tea bar - Saturday at 11am! Me and some Honda chums are going to pay our respects to a club member who passed. The teabar was his favourite watering hole.
I can't make it this Saturday but do you meet there often? It would be great to make some new friends now I'm on my own.
Welcome V. As Andy said, check out the forum's annual picnic and wobble round sunny (we've been promised) Brecon Beacons. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/grand-meet-up-2018-wales.12452/
Unfortunately this is a once a year event but I think loads of people on this forum will be able to point you towards meet ups. Generally when two bike riders meet up at a cafe they will get chatting and can point you towards other clubs, meets and so on. I joined MAG and had a lot of laughs with people I met there and now I belong to my local IAM group who are good fun. There is also a local bike club that I keep meaning to go to......
