Picked up a (new to me) 2018 RS up yesterday, after my previous bike (Duke 890R) chucked itself down the road and left me with a broken collar bone.

Nice coming back to Triumph - my last was a gen 2 765 RS, before I went to an S1000R for a few years, lookin forward to getting some miles in on the Speedy, but have to be careful as my bone hasn't started knitting together yet (but the ride yesterday was fine).

I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions, also need to find places that still stock parts - as mine (Matt black) has an ebay special rear seat cowl; rather than OEM - but I've not been able to locate one yet.

@StreetRS1981 Sorry to hear of your dilemma on your Duke. But glad you are on the mend and it didn't put you off. Yes take it very easy and get your self tiptop again.

This is crash number 5 in 17 years, even getting badly wiped out in my first year of riding, didn't put me off - just made me change from a Ninja 636 to an 08 R1 :D

Sure my Wife and Daughter would love me to hang up the gloves for a while, but it's in the blood (I blame my late Father and Grandfather for that trait) - so I'll carry on riding my sketchy B roads and be mindful as one could possibly be; as you never know when the next driver will try having you off lol

I might also need a name change, as I think I signed up back in 2018, when I had my gen 1 765 RS

@StreetRS1981 That is the way things go. Me I have had a fair few knocks Like you the right collar bone' The left pulled out of the socket' Crushed spine put me out for some time' Skull fractured in 5 places' right kneecap almost torn of. And a toe pulled out of the socket. But again like you got straight back on despite all the plea's. Now how many times have you tried to explain to people that its in the blood I know when I have tried they look at me like i am a crazy nut and never can they imagine what there is between a person and their machine. I think every time I have come a cropper my first words were how's my bike.

The fact we all keep jumping right back into the saddle, is the reason we're called mobile organ donors :p
