Be good to see one in the flesh, but it does look great in the picturesjust the job for your trip to Scotland next may
if anyone interested i phoned Triumph Newcastle on thursday to ask about price and stock, they said DEFINITELY no stock before xmas this year at the earliest and would most likely be march (ish) next year and price could be up to +13k for top spec model (dilligafs pic)... they also asked me for a £500 deposit to secure one and have already taken quite a few orders
Not for me, I’d take the engine and the headlight and that’s about all, they’ve lost the cruiser look
Apart from having the hardtail look and feet forward riding position i woudn't really call it a cruiser, great looking bike though
I agree with what's been said regarding the rake. Nice looking bike, but I wouldn't class it as a cruiser......
Ok.....that picture I posted earlier in this thread is MY BIKE This one below is for all you chromosexuals It has lots of shiny bits and a smooth seat A Stanley knife would soon take care of the fork gaiters so that even more shiny stuff on display Me.....I'm gonna paint the casings and wheels BLACK ITS THE FUTURE
I find it hard to believe that they stuck with the chain and sprockets as well, best mod I done on my speedie was ditching the chain for belt drive ♂️ Why didn’t they do the same ♂️
Well by all accounts a bottle of JD can be made to last a whole week I'll give it a go and see how much I can save Hey.... you never know
I went to see the new Speedmaster at the Milan Motor show in Italy. The standard version was available on the stand for everyone to sit on and inspect but the cruise version was on a ramp with a model sitting on it and no one was allowed to touch it. I found the passenger seat of the standard version rock hard and their is no way my wife would sit on it. I also found the handle bars quite flat with little aft rake which made me have to lean forward with outstretched arms. The cruiser version on display had different handle bars that raked further aft and also had a more comfortable rear seat. I own the new T100 and am looking for a more comfortable solution for my wife as a pillion for long trips. When I bought my T100 I did not expect my wife to be so enthusiastic about riding and as a learner rider thought I made the right choice. THe speedmaster seemed like a great alternative and hence my trip to the Milan Motor show. After sitting on the standard speedmaster I was quite dissaponted in the riding position and especially the comfprt of the pillion. The fact that Triumph had the cruiser version on display and did not allow anyone for health and safety reasons to sit on it spoiled the whole trip for me. I ended up wandering around the Moto Guzzi stand and Harley Davidson stands looking for alternatives. I adore my T 100, Had a fantastic experience with my local Triumph dealer but was let down by Triumph at the motor show. I will test ride the cruiser version when it comes out next year but to have it 2 meters away from me and not be able to touch it was frustrating to say the least.
Called in to Newcastle Triumph today while I was out on my BPOS Knew that the new Speedmaster would be there and fell in love with it all over again For me it could be the perfect bike Had a sit on it and the first thing that struck me was how light it felt getting it upright off the side stand My BPOS feels like a barge in comparison Would have to get them handlebars changed I think that they’re called beach bars or something? But I know other bars are available Talking to a lad called Eric and he thinks the one they’ve got will be a demo bike Hopefully get a phone call next week and get a test ride Also asked about putting a tow bar on and tapping into the electrics for trailer lights and would it affect any warranty issues? So they’re gonna get in touch with triumph and see what they say The main stumbling block for me is paying for the bloody thing Probably have to wait a couple of years and go for a second hand one Where did I put that lottery ticket
