    Hi all,

4 weeks ago I picked this up after flirting with a ktm 1290gt to run alongside my 954 fireblade.

It had gone just 1353miles in 2 years and since then I've added just 130  due to the bloody 30 days of constant rain we seem to have had.

So far I've fitted the triumph quickshifter, triumph heated grips, auxiliary charger and some matt film to protect the tank.

Now I'm looking at those cans...:D

I know there are various threads on this but I've run out of funds that my wife will let me err..invest in the bike. Well without a serious backlash that is, as I've really took the piss lately ;)

So what are my best options for say around £200 ish?

Are there big difference in sounds between brands?

I'd love the sc project low boy but it's way out of budget. At the other end there's the Lextek at just £150.. but do they come with a baffle? And why are they only listed for the 11-15 bikes?

Sorry for all the questions ;)

A very warm welcome to the forum, Warnie. I picked up my 2016 Speedy almost three month ago and have fitted the same accessories as you plus black rad finishers and black pegs. The previous owner had fitted a GRMoto can which I find just fine; a lovely sound and not too loud. Apart from looking good it loses quite a few kg of weight over the stock pipes. The selling price is under £200, so not excessive compared to others.

    Hi Neil,

I have looked at the GRmoto but had no idea of quality. Good to know that yours is ok, does yours have the baffle to remove ?

Yes it does, but I’ve not had any urge to remove it.

Welcome to the Family. Another great intro and pictures. Here in the asylum the inmates love pictures like that. They will ogle those for ages and nursey will have a quite night with the meds.
    Regards & Ride Safe.

    Cheers guys :)

Seems my suspension was tuned into sport. I set it to the road settings today and it was a lot more comfortable. It will go back to nearer the sport settings when the roads improve no doubt.

The ducati dealer owner I bought the bike from worked on the original 955i speed and carried on working with and selling triumphs up until a few years ago.

Anyway he said that the best exhaust he has ever heard on a speed triple was a Remus lowboy. They're normally nearly £500 but I can get one for £363.

Has anyone on here heard one ?

    Pic... Speed or MV ?

Interesting history your bike has mate, can't help you with the Remus, I had a pair on a Honda Firestorm a few years back and they sounded mega, any on YouTube? I have a Scorpion Serket on my Speed triple which sounds quite sensible until you give it some beans, definitely the Speedy in the Speed/MV comparison for me :p
