Hi All. New to Triumph, but not to motorcycles. Got my riders' license back in '69. After retiring(for the 2nd time)thought I'd spend some time back in the saddle after a 30 yr. hiatus. So, this time last yr. bought a Yamaha SCR950 for pleasure riding. Did a couple of lengthy rides with my son(he rides a Multistrata 1200) and found the Yammi NOT favorable to these old bones. Traded it in last week for a new T100. What a nice machine! Gonna get some bags for it, 'cause me and the son are planning a long ride for next year. I've had the bike out a couple of times during the week, so far, and I must say, these 72 yr. old bones are enjoying every minute of it. Here's a pic of our last ride, and the new T100
Hi and welcome, from another old fogey, like yourself, returning for the last of the summer wine after a 25+ year lay off. Life’s better with a motorcycle! Regards,Ken.
You are in good company here. Lots of us old retirees on this site. As for me, I'll be 74 soon. A tip from an old guy. The more you ride, the younger your bones are ...J.D.
Thanks for the warm reception, everyone Kenbro, I'm from Manchester, also. Manchester, Connecticut USA, though Helmut. LOL, the pic wasn't to advertise the truck. Being an auto tech most of my life, not only has it been my livelihood, but also my hobby. Here's a pic of the truck. ($12,500 btw)
LeezRyd. Welcome to the family. Nice machines both truck and bike. Don't worry about the bones Nursey will be along soon with the meds after she see's to the inmates here. But should be a quick round tonight as they ogle the pictures. Regards & Ride Safe. Joe.
Yep. Seems as though when the U.K. "escapees" landed here, they brought along a lot of the cherished names with them
Hi Mate & Welcome to the Forum Nice bike, can't do much about the 72 year old bones except pop ibuprofen!
