Back to two wheels after far too many years, just for the fun and pleasure of ownership of a machine that was beyond my means back in the day. Blame it on Henry Cole's TV programmes that I discovered a while back and really got my love of motorcycles going again. Took delivery of a year old Triumph T100 last month, and have just been taking it easy around the quiet roads of N.Essex and Mersea. Lovely machine, was going to go for the T120, but all the extra tech and expense seemed a bit OTT. The T100 is a good compromise - well pleased with it. Used to do all my own maintenance on the 70s two stroke Yamahas (still got my timing dial gauge) and XS four strokes. Will do what I can on the new bike once out of warranty - seems reasonably straightforward except for brake fluid change and needing the diagnostic tool to purge the ABS modulator. Not a problem, if it has to go in for that, so be it. Retired engineer (industry) so still like to keep my hand in where it's doable. Bound to run into a few issues so I'm sure I'll be back. Cheers, see you on the Road or at the Gt Bentley meets in the summer. Dinny.
Good morning Dinny and welcome to the forum and back to the fold. Ride safe and enjoy your new Bonnie!
Hi Dinny and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be round soon with your meds. Good choice buying the T100 they are a nice bike.
Dinny Welcome to the family. Where is the picture of the steed then. You know here in the asylum the saying goes no picture no bike. So you must hit the upload a file bottom right hand corner and prove well me wrong. Regards & stay safe Joe.
Can even manage to get it on the centrestand now (bad back) ......original owner paid to have one fitted. A bit mean to only have it as standard on the 120. Put the rack on myself. Thanks for the warm welcome chaps - been quite a few years, but the biker fratertnity never changes.
Hi Dinny and welcome to the forum managed to clear my ABS with a bit of emergency braking and taping the lever/pedal overnight to remove the smallest bubbles. Great shot
Dinny. Sure is a pretty Steed. And that grin on you face says it all. Pity about this lousy weather. But do enjoy the bike as much as you can. Regards & Ride Safe Joe.
