    hi folks

new here; have a 97 daytona speed triple (yellow) with an '03 955 engine.

looking to improve upon the bike; what suspension upgrades are rated for the daytona? was considering a 1050 triple r front end transplant?? is this wasted effort?

bike already has risers and bar end mirrors along with high level factory end can.

bodywork with time will get resprayed / tidied up (thats the plan)

    thanks for any suggestions -

Welcome to the madhouse you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we need photos.
Hope it's black if not you can paint it. _20180204_110126.jpg Tucker

Hi, great bikes, my advise is service everything then think about upgrades cos servicing is the cheapest and most effective upgrade.

Welcome Gaz, nice bikes the early T595's, already a bit of a classic, I rode a couple & loved them, I owned the later 2000 model double sided swinging arm model. Good luck with the mods but would agree with Sprinter that servicing/overhauling the front forks with someone like Maxton would probably give a great result and save you time and money.
    Cheers
    Billy

this is what the bike looks like.....a nightmare. having to replace parts of clocks cause they no longer work. only to find the wiring loom has already been 'butchered' in the past. was bought as a 'project' to aid recouperation from a major operation 3 mths ago.....now wondering if that was a right move.

it wont surprise me any more skeltons falling out from under the bodywork panels....amazing how many not standard brackets and screws there are along with zip tags holding everything together. im inclined to put it back together properly...we'll see how we go from here
