    Good morning

Thanks for admitting me to the forum.

I am an older rider returning to bikes after many years.

I am keen on the Bonneville T100.

I have however been alarmed by many posts on line regarding the gearbox lock ups.

Can someone please advise the latest info on this - was it a production fault now corrected ?

I would be reticent gambling if its still a possible issue ?

    Many thanks

    Gordon

Hi @GordonM I've got to agree with Joe, if you're looking at the 2016 onwards T100 liquid cooled 900cc bike then they are very reliable bikes with many fans. That engine gearbox combination is not only in the T100 but also the Street Twin / now (Speed Twin 900), the Street Scrambler (now Scrambler 900) and the Street Cup. There are many happy owners of those bikes on this and other Triumph forums.

In my experience (2018 Street Cup) the gearbox can be a little clunky sometimes (especially when cold) but I've never had a lock up.

They're great bikes go for it and enjoy.
