Ive not been on here for long so forgive my confusion. On most forums, when viewed on the "landing" page have a red "New" label on their heading. Does this indicate that there are new (to me) posts or does it mean that the section is newly created? If it's the latter how long does a section need to be in existence until it is no longer considered new?
I have been on the forum for a while and to be honest I have not paid that much attention to this flag. Basically I look in the newbies section to welcome any new members, followed by my watched threads. Once I have reviewed these I then review new posts. I only look at the new posts that interest me and ignore the rest. Each time I review new post it shows the ones that I have not reviewed before along with those that I have not opened. I find this works for me and I get to open and read only the content that I want.
