Regarding advertising, I don't know how they do it, but I looked up house prices from my work computer yesterday and I am now getting adverts on this forum for houses for sale/rent very near to where I live
Is my internet usage being monitored that closely by this website or who...
Tbh I find it a bit creepy and invasive

 

It's not this website it's the ad trackers on the sites you visit that report back what you've been looking at so that wherever you go you see 'targeted' ads based on your recent searches.

I use Firefox as my browser and have uBlock origin installed to block ads but I also have the Ghostery add-on installed which blocks the trackers so I don't get bombarded with ads for whatever it is I've been looking at.

 

I use Adblock - free to download and use - works like a dream.

 

Hi Rob, I now realise that what I was commenting on, is in fact the new style, so I tend to use TTF 1.4

 

I guess the simple solution is a £5 sub. Will look into that when I am on the PC. I guess the sub can be paid by PayPal?

Yes mate, on this forum it's called "start a conversation" - broadly same thing as pm, just a different name.

How to:

Click on the avatar of the person you want to contact; click on "start a conversation" and away you go............
