hello fellow trumpeteers , looking forward to advice re getting my 07 tiger back on form, been distracted by a new ktm which has highlighted the crap stock brakes/suspension on the old crate...cant bear to part with it as it still makes me grin like an idiot whenever I throw a leg over
so far: put stock screen back on, removed rack and hand guards, oil change, new batt & brake pad check. Next: reset suspension to factory settings then try a few turns of the various screws & knobs & see what happens, source a refurb kit for the rear calliper Meantime: throw a leg over and revisit the redline!
Thanks Golgotha, the tiger was my daily commuter and do everything machine for 14 years, now I'm resurrecting it...just because. I have ridden it like I stole it from new (except for run-in), in return I have been generous with the maintenance etc and it seems to be paying off. My new commute is a KTM SAS...but its only got 2 cylinders. (I still struggle for words to describe it, it is totally fkn awesome) Yes, there was some shit on fire back there...eucalyptus smoke (in small doses) smells nice & the smoke makes for nice light. Respect to the Trojans who put fires out! (this was a controlled burn...I think)
Hi the Kraut and welcome to the forum looking forward to seeing progress with your tidy up, looks pretty good already
