Thanks to David357. I have just picked up a fantastic spirit of 59 helmet at a knock down price. The real price is £1475 something like that. But David said I could have it for substantially less. I won't put prices on here as I don't want to or nor have I asked David357 for his permission to do so. And no you can't have a picture till after Christmas as Tracy purchased it for me. It is now in hiding till then. But all I need to say is all my thanks David he has made me a really happy man. thankyou. Regards Joe.

I hope that £1475 is a misprint. You’d truly belong in a loony bin to spend that much on a helmet. Top shelf Snell rated Aria and Shoei run substantially less. I’d expect a helmet at that price to cook me dinner at the end of every ride!

OsteKuste. That's the right price. I tried to order one from Hedon. Then David357 came to the rescue. I paid nowhere near that price thanks to him. But it is a beautiful hat all plush and velvety inside and custom built to suit the spirit of 59 Bonneville. I prefer Tracy's cooking she is pretty good at that kind of stuff. Regards Joe.
Kin'ell Joe, I got grief when I bought a new Shoei NXR in the sale for £349 a couple of weeks back, and apparently the helmet which I bought is now for Christmas! Happy Christmas to me!

I agree Joe, the more budget end Shark that I started last season which was destroyed after a fairly innocuous low speed off at Snetterton, was shocked at how badly it came out of the crash, glad it wasn't a high speed one! It went straight in the skip & went back to using my Shoei, which has now had 2 similar speed offs with minimal effect & still passes scrutineering.
Maybe it does cook dinner?! I'd buy it for sure if it vacuumed my house--kind of like those little vacuum robots.
Life's short, Joe! Buy the darn helmet. Each of us chooses to spend what money we have how we bot need to and how we like to. Good for you. I suspect you will feel happy pretty much every time you don that helmet.
