    Hi Guys,

New helmet and Cardo Packtalk arrived this week so thought I would post some pics etc here for you to have a look at.
Still not 100% sure on posting pics so hoping these work !

Helmet is a Schuberth S2, I choose this as I’ll be riding a speed triple so wanted something with as little wind noise as possible.

    Schuberth S2 :

Came in a nice bag :

I’m liking the matte black finish :

And now with the packtalk installed.
It was in no way compatible with the helmet so took a fair bit of modification to both parts to get it fitted. Pretty happy with the final result though :

That seems a lot of effort when you could have fitted the dedicated src system.

    It’s a good point !
I wanted something that was universally compatible though and also the Packtalk has a few more features and apparently better sound quality hence going down that route.
I also thought it would be easier to fit than it was .
The Packtalk uses the latest mesh technology so gives more usable connections and better reliability in larger groups so am hoping the cost and fitting investment pays off.

I wear a Schuberth R2 and the built-in Sena made SC1 coms are really good, no speakers or mic on show, no wires, really neat, integrated and unobtrusive, plus good value for money. I’m really surprised that you fitted a full after market system.

    Hi Hamburg,
I watched / read a lot of reviews on comms systems and the Packtalk consistently came out well in terms of sound quality and connection reliability.
The new mesh technology is also a lot easier when riding in larger groups as the signal is not chained in series along a string of riders. It runs in parallel to each rider so if any one rider drops out the others aren’t affected.
I guess also in the back of my mind was the thought that if I don’t get on with the helmet I can always move the system to any new one that I replace it with :)
