Hello, I’m in love. A red Thruxton 1200 R has come into my life, complete with gorgeous bikini fairing, V & H Pipes, and full leather luggage kit. I am a veteran motorcycle tragic, since the early 1970’s, having owned, ridden, raced and fallen off more bikes than I care to count. My last few machines reveal an acquired taste for big thumping twins. ( VTR 1000, KTM 950 Supermoto, Ducati Multistrada 1200 Touring) And now the Thruxton which looks, sounds and rides like the distilled essence of motorcycle perfection. Like I said; I’m in love. I look forward to finding out from forum members more about what makes this famous marque special and how I can tweak my machine to optimise it’s strengths and eliminate anything that is not needed. Regards, BMac60 (Pix not mine)
Hi and welcome. I, too, want a Thruxton R with race kit but with all my bikes taking up the garage I guess I'll just have to sell some (not the Triumphs mind) to make space for one
