None taken mate. I'll wear the lycra under my riding jeans. I'll be riding over with a couple of lads from Oakley MC (and Woburn customers) and I think Figwold will be joining us. See you there lads.
Has anyone else that has been to the show left feeling a little disappointed that it seems to be getting smaller? The major manufacturers stands seem to be getting bigger, but the trade stands were you could get a bargain in the past just don't seem to be there in the same numbers.
That's a bit of a spoiler Bill , first you tell us no Lycra clad ladies now the trade stands have shrunk, you'll be telling us next that the food/beer is expensive
Errr ..... £10 for burger and chips & £5 a pint I kept trying the "don't you know who I am" line trying to get discount but they just did an announcement for nursey to come as a poor old fart couldn't remember who he was!
No, coz it's Alice .. obviously! Get ready for the chorus boys ... Alice, Alice who the f%@k is Alice!
Not sure how many CCM Spitfires they got to sell in order to get back the cost of transporting & displaying the real one! Let's hope CCM don't bring out a 'Lancaster' model or there will be no room for bikes on the stand!
Myself and Lisa said that we are not going next year.but will go to Peterborough and the Excel Show as well. Tucker
I hadnt been for a few years, and also felt that it was a letdown as far as trade stands go, there used to be tons of stands selling cheap leather and denim etc but only a few this year. I wanted some gloves, size 4xl for winter, yep I got big hands, and gave up looking, wanted a t shirt for my mate Chubby but very few 3xl about, tho I did get one eventually. The food was as usual a ripoff, Portion of chips was £3.50 at one stall. Needless to say I didnt bother. Met some of the guys, Wayne, Figwold, Little Ade etc, sorry I forgot the others, lol at 10.30 but didnt make the lunchtime meet due to an old war wound. Good to see ya guys, maybe see ya and others next year. Ride safe. Dave
