Morning gents Can anyone ID the parts in the pic. I just found them in the glove box and I'm hoping they're spares and not some bits left over after a rebuild . Spacers of some kind I'm guessing. cheers nev
Hi Nev, that sort of thing is often used on Triumph's as spacers/vibration reducers (assuming they're made of rubber) for the fuel tank.
I would agree with Sprinter, by the look of them they are the steel bushes that sit between the OEM silencer brackets and rear footrests, along with rubber bushes and washers. If someone has changed the OEM silencers they may have been surplus to the new fixings but certainly worth keeping.
Allotted shed time for today has been used up already, apparently one has to spend time in the house too ! Spent most of the day drilling snapped bolts out of the rear rack assembly. Paint was a bit tatty and needs a revamp and thought to myself 'no, do it properly and split the rack' first bolt came out easy enough, second was bit snug and the rest? ... yep, snapped So tomorrow it is
Or the day after Checked the silencer mounts, similar but these 'spares' are a bit thicker. Any other suggestions?
Looks like internals would have an m8 bolt through them, mudguard fixings/structural fairing spacers/headlight mounts etc?
Looks to me like the spacers that fit under grab handle mounts to prevent squashing the fairing and seat release cable. Mark
Maybe Mark, but I'll never know now - I sold the bike. With the bushes in the glove box where they were when I bought it
