well had to have a replacement for my old 67 ford f100 that was a nightmare so here it is series 1 Dodge Ram pickup 250 SE 1986 5.9lt V8, and is ex california truck so solid and well sorted not likeing the 8mpg at the mo, but hey who needs to look at the fuel gauge anyway haha has a camper canopy, which is a nice touch, and rare as hens teeth will tow my vintage bikes and race car to all places soon, starting with Race The Waves at Bridlington, great vintage bike and car racing on the beech, check it out. so here he is
and sorry i know its a bike forum for triumphs, haha i do own a couple...... just not had them out and about recently, ohh hang on got very wet last week visiting and this is with my old f100
ahhh that f100, its possible one of the prettiest pickups ever made, it was and still is stunning, BUT it had a 390ci 6.3lt with borge warner 4 speed, and i re built the engine twice, and lastly it decided to take out a cam lobe...grrrrrrrr so id had enough of constantly ordering parts from the states, as no one keeps anything here. And the 4 speed was in dire need of a re build, you couldnt engage gears, it was just a pain, and then the rear diff..........whined like my ex wife, so prob around 3 to 4 grand in repairs, the time, the hassle, and getting fed up of not using it.... The dodge however, worth more, rarer, far more reliable, and its auto, so all much easier. To be honest the f100 was a looker.
A mate and his step son drag big yank cars, tha may know em. Tim Holmes, and his step son is about 7' tall, and called Carl.
yes i know them both really well, haha big carl, hes as daft as a brush. Hopefully be seeing Tim soon, as were racing early april. Funnily enough, Tim, has just sold his Bonneville, was a cracking bike, i was trying to get him to do a deal on one of my old BSA race bikes, but hes not manly enough for an old BSA haha
MY '67 Ford pickup looked like this ! This one is a twin of mine which I do not have anymore. At 335 h.p. and 427 lb.ft. of torque she was a real stormer. ...J.D. Old 390GT was great for giving 396 Chevys hell !
Spoke to Tim last weekend. He hasn't sold his Bonnie. He has 2. An old one, and a modern one. He wants to sell t'modern one, which I think is a 2002 limited edition one. I'm going to his house this week to look at some electrical work, and I'm getting t'details of it to advertise it on here.
ahh i knew he was selling it, just though it had gone, cool, its a nice bike, he wants good money if i recall, i tried to deal on an a old bsa i has, but hes not man enough hahah
