This can only be good for the sport and for promoting the fact that bikes are not just for blokes.

I'll have to make a point of following her, @Octoberon! Thanks for posting this.

We had not many ladies at the top level. I can just remind Maria Herrera.

I hope she can regain the form that won her the 2018 SSP300 title (though she was a bit lucky with the final race results and would have been beaten to the title if Perez had finished one place higher despite being the only rider to record two wins) after her back injury in 2020 #ridelikeagirl

She's got her work cut out but I hope she does well. I like the way she's co-opted that hashtag. :)

More women on bikes at any level can only be good. I will be watching with interest on how she gets on.

I've watched Shayna race on some of the races broadcast on television. She's amazing! I haven't seen her at X Games, though. I'll have to look her up. I didn't realize how small she is, though. But in stature only, not in skill, competitiveness, and brass.

The guys pass her on the bends but she flies passed them on the straights. In the video she was 5th going into the last lap, wizzed passed them all to finish 1st. Great stuff, on the podium she looks like she's stood in a hole. :)
