It was muddy & very hard going but apart from being knackered he had fun, top 10 finish as well!

Awesome stuff, I wish I was fit enough and skilled enough to play MX

Good on him Bill, that's a tough sport, as you will know, I know a couple of chaps that have competed in a local twin shock club and hear that's it's knackering.

I didn't stay all day, just watched practice and race 1, just to give my mate a bit of moral support & of course take the pi$$!

He was on his KTM 150, he has a few Moto-X bikes, including some older twin shock stuff, I was surprised he chose to ride the 150 over his KTM 350 4 stroke which was eligible in that race, but I guess the 150 is a lot lighter.

Ha, ha! yes so does my mate!
To be fair he has the skill just not the fitness, I must admit that stood watching normally makes me wish I was out there, but in this case I was glad I wasn't, it looked hard work in those conditions.

Steve competes in some of the twin shock series too, he looked absolutely knackered when he came back in from that race, could barely speak!
I was in my 20's when I raced, I trained really hard and weighed 3 stone less than I do now, I still found it hard work, so fair play to these over 50's that still give it a go.

Ktm 150 is a nice option especially for the conditions.
Done a few enduros and hare and hounds when younger and often thought a lot of people are "over biked".
