Hey all .. Just bought a Speed Triple last week (2000 955i) and have now been asked several times "New bike ?" Have to answer Yes & No .. Yes its new to what you are used to seeing (Aprilia Tuono & XJ600 Rat bike) but no its not new as when it was first registered back in 2000 ... I registered it. Actually sold it in 2005 with 24k miles on the clock .. Saw it on E-bay 2 weeks ago and bought her back from Bury St Edmunds .. 32k miles on clock. Only 8k miles in 8 years. Would be intrigued if any previous owners are on here .. Forgot just how much fun it was with a Triumph :biggrin:
Awww, reunited at last! Had a Tuono previously, great bikes! Trouble is I lost my licence on that one, shortly after thinking "Wow, I've had a clean licence for over 5 years!"
Hi and welcome to the forum, must be great finding your old bike again, saying that I would never buy back my previous Ducati MTS 1200 it was a reliability nightmare
Was actually gonna part ex the Tuono for a 1050 Speedy .... But after riding it, it just felt "ok" .. Just felt a lot different to the 955 and the part ex price for the Aprilia was what you would call a tad low .. So went home and just happened to trawl Ebay ... Soon as I saw the pics knew it was the same one .. My missus rang the dealer up and checked the reg .and lo and behold it was her. Made him an offer on his asking price which he accepted .. So have the Speedie back and still have the T .. Deffo deja-vu from 2004
Had a cat that did that once - came home..... some weeks after being left at the vets 10 miles away. (Poor bugger still got taken back again and put down - air rifle pellet in the head :frown
