Hi, I'm a long time lurker but I've never created an account so I thought that this would be a good time to create one. I was also going to post this to the Tiger 800 specific forum but I cant create an account there for some reason. Anyhow, For the past year or so I have been rebuilding my bike from the ground up, everything has been stripped and redone (including the engine) and now it is practically finished, there are a few things that I will change such as the brake reservoirs but other than small aesthetic pieces its done. One thing that I noticed immediately once riding is the wind, with the original screen I had buffeting and poor wind flow, with the smaller fly screen the air is perfectly smooth, it also does just a good job at keeping the windblast off my chest which seems counterintuitive given how much smaller it is.
Rule Britannia Welcome to the family. Nice bit of work there. And black the inmates here in the asylum will love that picture. Regards & Ride Safe Joe
Thanks for all the comments, heres some more photos for those that are interested. The image of the dash is mostly how it is now, the cables have been tidied up more though. The rest of the photos are of how it was before I rebuilt it and during disassembly. View attachment DSC_0201-min.jpg
