Out on Sprint again today. Three other bikers around - not one miserable git acknowledged my nod/greetings. Is it me - does a Sprint GT not cut it nowadays? Does it mark me out as a w*nker, to be shunned by fellow bikers? I just don't know. I suspect it the type of tossers you get on bikes in London/ South East.

    Rant over.

i feel your anger, nodding to each other seems to be getting less and less and its not just in the south
I nod at all bikes including tiddlers.
BMW and Ducati owners seem the worst I do get very angry sometimes and do contemplate following the twats and giving them a slap, but then I calm down and get on with enjoying myself instead.

funny you say that - a lot of guys/gals on 125s do nod. Yup - not sure about Ducatis, but one offender was riding a BMW GS!!

I used to get wound up when riders did not return a nod. Now I just smile and think to myself your problem not mine...

My brother-in-law has got one - so bloody heavy and piss-poor brakes, so you could add, he can't wave as needs both hands to pull the front brake if he's stopping.

Yep - I also tried left-hand wave. Same lack of response. All French riders use this (easier if you are on other side of rode I guess).

Usually use left hand and get wave, nod, or leg extension back. :cool:I don’t know if scowl face from HD is just NZ :skull:

Over here bikers greet each other with a left hand "V" for victory - done in a cool dude sort of a way.

The former I manage adequately; the latter is a mahoosive fail !!

I love the biking camaraderie over there biglad. Riding on the right seems so natural on a bike. Easy to give a nice long v salute passing others bikers with your left arm free looking at each other.

Just keep using the mirror to practice your nodding, keep your eyes fixed on your eyes until you can nod without losing forward vision... you won’t suffer panic induced steering corrections then!!! Or continue to wave... both acceptable!!!

Perhaps this may be clearer and avoid confusion?

I always nod but I don't expect a return . Why should we ? I'm sure it's not personal so just suck it up and FGS stop moaning !
