Accomodation booked at Tyndrum for 1 nights Glamping !!!!! next Monday night. Mate's missus is off to Blackpool for a couple of days, and mine's is working, so off for a couple of days to hit some of my favourite roads around the west coast and then over to the Trossachs before heading south.
You'll be glad to know he's on a Tiger, so I'll put his bike behind mine in most of the pictures! :p

    Day 1

    upload_2019-4-10_20-57-2.png
From Dunoon up to Inveraray, then down to Lochgilphead and back up all the way to Ballachulish (3 - 7 on the map) is an absolute belter. 140 miles of the best roads. Wee stop off at Tayvallich for soup. Google it, great wee cafe.

    Day 2

    upload_2019-4-10_20-57-44.png

Just a wee run around, hit some nice roads. Hopefully miss all the coaches on the Duke's Pass. I'll think of you @andyc1 :p

    Picture's when I get back :kissing_heart:

    Enjoy!!
Well, you couldn't do anything else really.
I've done a fair few of those roads by bike, car and 44 tonne artic. Hopefully, good health allowing, me and SWMBO will get a few more chances to get up that way, though I guess it will involve the car. Better than nowt I suppose.

On the Ferry to Dunoon, all the best runs have at least one ferry trip :D

    Stop at Inverary

We got stopped by a boat !!! Road out to Tayvallich crosses over the canal, so we had to wait whilst the boats went through.

Went over Glencoe to our digs at Tyndrum, feck me it was bloody cold. Had to stop 15 miles short, to change to full winter gloves my fingers got so sore from the cold. Teach me not to fit heated grips over the winter.

Total of 285 miles covered from Home to Tyndrum on our firsat day. Few spits of rain up the coast, but stayed dry for the majority of the day.

Weather a bit shitey on day 2. Never really stopped being either misty / drizzly / pissing down all day. Started cold but ok, but just gradually got worse as the day went on. Still a good run, but not many photo's cos it was miserable weather.

Killin for Breakfast. Can you spot the mountain rescue going on in the background ???

At Loch Katrine, on the Dukes Pass. Road is a disgrace, worst I've ever seen it. From the top end to the Loch Katrine turn-off is littered in gravel, had a wee fornt end slide, not fun. Dukes Pass is covered in potholes and bad patch jobs. Marked up for repairs, but if there as bad as the existing one's leave the pot holes !!!!

Gleniffer Braes above Paisley. Found a great route to avoid Glasgow, past Drymen, then over the Erskine Bridge then through Paisly to the Gleniffer Road, much easier than trying to get through Glasgow or M8. Took us under 20 minutes to clear Glasagow.

I'm planning on taking the Dunoon ferry in a month, never done ferry with bike before and this looks a bit different to the big straps in Dilligaf's IoM thread. Is the Dunoon ferry just short jaunt across calm waters, no straps required?

Yep, takes about 20 minutes, and if it's choppy, you just get told to stay with your bike.
Good idea to be holding on to it as it ports !

So lucky, to have so many great roads within easy reach. I know I'm biased, but Scotland has so many good roads to go play on.
The lad on the Tiger only passed his test last year, he had an absolute ball spending 2 days away just riding. Talking of doing up north in the Summer.

I fully agree with that! Scotland is the best the UK has to offer! (Ireland is a close second though) :p
