So anyway I went for the motor bike and enjoying it! My bike is a 2006 Bonneville, blue & white. I'm beginning to think a misstress might be cheaper though...just bought a Belstaff for £300, helmet £180, gloves £85!! Boots next on the credit card list. I've been looking online and I like the look of TCX Urban waterproof boots 2012 Tcx Urban Waterproof Motorcycle Boots - Black - Tcx All Uses Line Motorcycle Boots - Tcx Motorcycle Boots - 2012 Motorcycle I want retro looks, not into the racy thing. Any suggestions or recommends? While I'm at it.....what about jeans or trousers? Not leather...but retro and safe. Any recommends. I wonder how cheap an allotment is to run???
I guess it depends on your budget but don't Belstaff do trousers to go with the jacket? I'm sure Screwball (googler extraordinaire) will find you something.
Belstaff for £300! That's a bargain mate. I've got a Belstaff trialmaster (wax), Davida leather jacket & helmet with aviator goggles, Sidi Canyon boots & a pair of Triumph Highway 2 boots. Various pairs of jeans, but the ones I use most are a pair of Triumph cordura trousers (can't remember the name) they look like a pair of black five pocket jeans but are water/windproof. I'm thinking about a pair of Triumph heritage jeans for the summer (if it ever happens!) I've got another 2 helmets I don't wear much, & about 5 pairs of gloves. Almost forgot I've got another brown leather jacket as well. Mid life crisis, tot that lot up! A word of advice, try stuff on first if you're able, as IMO, bike gear can vary a lot sizewise
I,ve been told im on a mid life crisis with the triumph but how can that be when ive been riding since i was 13,as for clothing sad i know triumph leathers really good quality or i use Weise jacket and trousers good keeps you dry
Good deal on the Belstaff.. Dragging jeans are apparently the best... Boot wise. TCX touring offer TCX Custom Gore-Tex Boots - FREE UK DELIVERY. If you a bit more protection than the Chelsea boots you like... But it's not my choice so buy what you want/ like.... Or if you want waterproof then anything Cordura will do you well.... My mate has draggin jeans & triumph trousers and rates them both..... Good luck choosing....
Nike trainers, jeans & a hoody for normal riding conditions. T-shirt, shorts & flip-flops for the summer (when it gets here) :upyeah:
I normally wear my Richa lj with Draggin jeans and feel very comfortable. I think when I start my RoADAR course they might be frowned upon so I'll probably wear my Frank Thomas Raptor textiles for the course. I have to get a Hi-viz jacket ferchrissakes! :frown:
See what they've done - it's a hi-viz dry suit so they call it 'dry-viz'! Jeez those guys crack me up! Brilliant!
