Hi, I am considering fitting Maxton shocks to my Speed Twin and wondered if anyone knew how they stack up against Nitron etc for Performance, quality, and price? Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a price list on the Maxton site? I saw them on a de bolx special and really like the look. Would really appreciate any consrtuctive thoughts please.
A great company, get in contact with them as they can build them to your specs for you weight so as to get the sag correct. I did my rear shocks back in June 19 when there was very little in the way of shocks around for the Twin but even the budget YSS shocks i fitted made a huge difference.
That looks awesome, im thinking my one after many different bikes will be my forever bike so is deserving of quality farkles! I going for the close to stock look but wreaking quality!
Excellent idea, i was going to do the forks as well but after doing the rear end and fitting shorter bar risers along with an extra 5mm drop on the front i'm now happy with it.
Funnelli Yes Maxton As is K-Tech is far superior shocks not the cheapest but the quality and customer service is second to none. Just my Humble opinion of course. Joe.
There's no doubting Maxton's expertise. In addition to building and supplying bespoke units they may be able to do something with the OEM items. They revalved/sprung the Kayaba front and rear suspenders on a GSXR1100 I had back in the early 90's.
