Hi everyone. I have been riding a 2013 and 14 explorer for 8 years now. I have just bought a new OEM kyb shock. I am about to fit it but it won't manouver into place and I don't want to remove anything yet that I don't need to. I am hoping it's a simple case of just removing the rear wheel but suspect it ain't gonna be that simple.

I actually managed to get the shock in place. I rapped the shock, greased up edges that might get scuffed. And there is a 2mm shaped plate sitting about 30mm away behind the shocks final resting place. I used an adjustable spanner and prized the plate upwards. And was able to prise the plate back perfectly. I had visions of having to take off the swing arm with the drive shaft but thankfully the shock went on a treat.
