came to work early at 5 am yesterday to let some subbies on site. Got to work absolutely buzzing, as there was nowt ont road, and I nailed it. As I rolled down out access ramp to the underground car park, the auto roller shutter door started to close. No problem, I thought, just tickle t'front brake to slow me down a little, and break the safety beam, and it'll go back up. As soon as I touched t'brake lever, the front washed out, and I was down, at all of about 4 mph!! The ramp has a few potholes and the recent heavy rain had washed loads of loose gravel down, and I was ont edge of it when I braked. Consequently, put a hole in mi elbow, a couple in mi knee, and holed mi new 501's. Handlebar end, mirror, standard brake lever end, cracked side panel, scratched radiator covwer, cracked and scratched belly pan, scratched clutch and starter covers, and damaged both right hand triumph aftermarket LED indicators. I was not a happy bunny. The manager has asked for a price for parts, wether they cough up is another matter.

It seems it is those slow speed maneuvers that will put you on the pavement when you least expect it. Almost went down a month or so ago pulling "Lola" on to the wash rack. The floor was wet and soapy from the last guy through and for some reason the front brake grabbed as I pulled to a stop. I managed to save it but I wrenched my left knee trying to keep it off the floor...OUCH !. Glad yours was no worse than it was. ...J.D.
