Bonnie Phil Well maybe cheaper. The rest was down to bent MPS and greedy owners taking back hander. Regards Joe.
I dunno....looks 100% Brit-Thai-ish to me! Robotic and lowest-cost-provider artisan craft at its finest.
To be honest that's the same story with every bike/car/television/phone etc etc; they all have parts from around the globe. The thing that gets on my nerves is that Triumph trades on being British and bikes being British made, and they're not. At ALL.
Not sure it matters any more where stuff is manufactured, as long as it is not using low paid/slave labour. As the @thebiglad says just about everything we buy now days is maunfactured outside the UK.....
https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci.../bikes/where-was-your-triumph-motorcycle-made I'm pleased to know my Speed Triple was at least assembled in the UK. Just hopefully not on a Mon,Wed or Fri..
What makes me laugh are Union Jack flags moulded into the rear lights on a German car.... Can you guess which one?
What about thursday? "Grab a granny" night used to be on thursdays around hinckley... ;-) ps, i've no idea if thats true!!! pps, it was in pompey!
Now THIS ONE was truly made in the UK ! [with parts sourced from all over the planet] The shipping container business are the ones making all the money. Somehow it showed up here in the US as a 1995 model. ...J.D.
Duck: Getting to the point it is hard to find parts for these anymore. At least in the US. BTW. It is a real bugger to work on ! ...J.D.
Sounds like the UK is.much like.here in the US. Not much made strictly in the US anymore. Even if it is assembled here, it is usually from imported.parts. I'm OK with that though. A good product is a good product, no matter where it was made. The whole world has a right to make a living. ...J.D.
I have a Volvo "Made in Sweden". It has a lovely V-8 engine made by Yamaha. The transmission is also Japanese. The all wheel drive system is.German. Most of the electronics are Japanese. Body is Swedish built. And it was assembled in Sweden. That is just the ways of the modern-day industrial world. ...J.D.
