Well temptation has got the better of me and I've ordered an arrow lowboy system! Couldn't resist at £390.
What should I expect to pay for a remap as my local dealer wants £70. Is this the norm? Thanks in advance.

70 sounds expensive... 20+vat should be spot on

If you're fitting headers and silencer yourself why not get kitted up with TuneECU on your laptop for free and a cable for about £15, you can then do it yourself. :)

Is it an easy thing to do? I've no issues with anything mechanical but when laptops get involved
Do I download tune ECU? And where would I get the cable and correct map?

Yes, pretty straight forward, you'll be able to research the subject easily if you Google "TuneECU" and also "TuneECU Triumph", there's a load of info out there.
There's also plenty been posted on this forum if you search for it.
If you intend doing your own servicing then it's really an essential investment of time and not very much money.
Loading a new map all you need to take care of is to pull the headlight fuse and jump lead a car battery to the bike just to make sure the voltage doesn't drop too low during the process, which takes quite a few minutes to load - so don't panic.
If you have any specific questions after you've had a browse I'm sure I can help.

i assume the full system is road legal ? Does the sensor for exhaust plug into the lowboy as it does on standard pipework, surely bar the looks and sound benefits it has small power increase especially after remap,I'm watching on eBay both twin arrows and a cowboy decisions decisions.

Technically it's not road legal but does have a baffle in so shouldn't be too loud? There is a boss for the sensor so should be ok. As well as the hoped for power gain there is a huge weight saving over the standard system. The fact it was only £20 more than the twin arrows and it's a full system won me over. If only all six manifold nuts hadn't turned to round lumps of cheese it would have been a straight forward job!

Lowboy now fitted, I wish I could say it was a pleasure but 6 rusted rounded off header bolts and 2 stripped studs caused a few issues! All forgotten once I started it and heard it sound as it should!

Not got it remapped yet, still deciding on arrow map or full dyno setup. Pulls really well as it is, quite a noticeable difference already
