Hi all Noticed today after moving the bike in the garage that the right hand can is 'loose' - it wobbles! Appreciate its prob due to the cold etc- but my OCD has kicked in Any suggestions to 'tighten' the joint were the can slips on? I've seen the stainless steel exhaust clamps so can sort that, but ideally I wanted to keep everything looking as 'neat' as poss. Thanks for any tips!
Its a known issue, pretty common. I used holts firegum on mine which cured it. Its an exhaust paste, remove the can and smear it in the joint, put can back on and let the bike run till it gets nice and hot. The exhaust heat hardens the paste, it goes off like cement! It won't budge after that. It'll be very tight if you ever want to remove it again.
Also may be worth checking the can mounting bolt rubber grommet. Min was loose and that was the issue.
