Trying to find a decen't mechanic around Slough Maidenhead Burnham area so i can take my Silver Jubilee along to and get the carbs set properly as i have tried all the old ways and can't get them right used the 7mm drill bits under the slides till both moved similtaniously the tried each cylinder at 1 1/2 thou revs and tried to reajust them but nothing doing and seems to get hotter on the left pot. It may be carbs worn but i would rather a specialist see it first.

I've used PDQ but it was a while ago, they were expensive and I didn't really get great service... However, my old mate Stewart runs a shop in Sunbury so not too far away. Proper old school mechanic as opposed to the fitters you get in most places these days. Have a look for Stewart's Motorcycles on Google (I'm on the tablet which gets funny if I try to add links) and tell him Sir Trev sent you.

Thanks. But Larry at PDQ if you go along with a old Brit or a Harley he would chase you. Funny about the service as Larry is known to be one of the best and knows his stuff. But I don't think he welds the spanners these days so can't vouch for his staff, But I did take a set of cb carbs to them and they set them up and cleaned them for me. I will look up the other chaps.
    Again Thanks
    Joe.
