    What happens on Lincolnshire Day?

    Lincolnshire Day takes place on the 30th September every year. Dating back to 2006, this commemorative event celebrates the history, tradition and culture of the county. Lincolnshire Day marks the anniversary of the Lincolnshire Uprising, a religious rebellion that began in 1536

    Here are a few pictures of what's going on around our area.

    What's the story of the Lincoln Imp?

    Legends. According to a 14th-century legend, two mischievous creatures called imps were sent by Satan to do evil work on Earth. After causing mayhem in Northern England, the two imps headed to Lincoln Cathedral, where they smashed tables and chairs and tripped up the Bishop.

    Can't beat a link or two of Lincolnshire sausage on your breakfast plate....if there's any in the freezer l'll celebrate in my own way.

    I didn’t know there was a Lincolnshire day. Happy Lincolnshire day for tomorrow.
    We had our day on 1st August.

    Looks disgusting I'll grant you that. But boy do they taste nice, just had a diner at our local Corn Exchange. This one's for the dog later.
