Hi am just renovating a Tiger Cub and have done what everyone says not to do & removed the kickstart spring holding screw! The little stop plate on the back of the gearbox cover fell off and I don't know which way round it goes - is the flat end or tapered end on top?? This is something of a retirement project but have had several Triumph bikes in the old days - built my own Triton in the sixties. My first legal bike was a Cub which I tuned mercilessly and really threw around till I got banned after 6 months riding for 6 months so was a bit late taking my test to graduate to T110.
