    Hi

Has anyone fitted a K&N airfilter to their Striple?

Does it help much with performance?

    Any tips will be welcome

Hey mate, trying to work out if it's worthwhile doing this mod. Did you end up going down this path? Do you recommend it? Any dramas? Advantages?

    Thanks,

Modern OEM filters are very good these days so any gains are going to be very minimal, you may see some gains ( and maybe losses ) on a Dyno but I doubt you'd feel it on the road.

Most of the advice off other forums is not to bother. I’m not a fan of them personally, as others have said the OEM filter is perfectly adequate.

I fitted one to my speedy, purely for cost.
An oem filter was about £25-30 if I remember and a K&N about £50ish.
Can't say I've noticed any performance increase, personally if an oem was a sensible price (just bought one for a Z800, for £8) I would stick with that.
